Stuff off KEXP's newsletter. Gonna start listening to their recs again. These 3 are great, the Maruja album is awesome, very fast and loud prog jazz stuff. Die Spitz is "anthemetic" and punky rocky but not as annoyingly angsty as you'd think for a 2026 album of that genre. Also, the band is 4 women so you can be like me and pretend they're all singing directly to you and trying to swoon you bc they know you like that sort of thing. Then SML's "How You Been" is experimental-jazz which is always interesting.

NYC is I great, ad I am not... so I've got to fix that.

I've had NTS Radio on a lot recently, and I find it amazing how much consistent variety is featured. Also, with my expected trip back to Northern Africa, Berber music has been in the rotation. I'd even go as far as to say that it's the nostalgic feeling from the tracks that's given me the idea to return.
